Slightly smaller book, brown cloth, ornate embossed design in black on top and bottom front, gilt title with list of essays in bright gilt on front, design on top and bottom back, dark brown color inside covers and adjacent end papers, pencil name on second front end paper. Essays on Humboldt, Thomas Paine, Individuality, Heretics and Heresies. Slight surface wear to front tips, very slight wear to spine bottom edge, 253 browned pages. Very Good.
