This is a biography of Eric Liddell, winner of the gold medal in the 400-meter race at the 1924 Paris Olympics. Only part of his story was presented in the award-winning film, Chariots of Fire. Eric literary observed the Sabbath Commandment. He therefore lost the opportunity to win additional medals because he refused to run on Sunday. Here, too is the untold story of his later career as a missionary in China, including his internment with 1,800 other Christians at a compound in Weihsien.
