Pasadena: Twelvetrees Press, 1989. First edition. Hardcover. Orig. black cloth, front cover lettered in gilt. Fine in fine matching slipcase. Unpaginated. 33 x 25.5 cm. Limited edition, copy 56 of 100 signed by Witkin on the dedication leaf, "To my mother who gave me life." Contents are images in black and white and color photographs printed recto only on high gloss stock. The "Afterworld" of some twelve leaves plus and a few images. The explanatory text discusses "A perverse, morbid and dynamic eroticism (I use these terms descriptively) underlies all the imagery of desecration, contact with the agonized and the dead and the excremental.
