About This Item

IDB Productions, 2017-01-01. MP3 CD. New. Les Dieux ont Soif or The Gods Are Athirst written by Anatole France in the year 1912. This is about the French Revolution where It illustrates the out of the ordinary Paris of the fright. The main character in the story is the young hero and an artist, Evariste Gamelin, a grim visionary, an obsessive supporter of Robespierre, who is one of the leading personalities in this story. Evariste punctually appears and attends the Jacobin Club meetings in the evening and understands the soaring reveries and analytical chicanery of his leader. Evariste is one of the affiliates of the Revolutionary Tribune and made a bona fide reverend of the execution, serving to the savage totems.

Marie Antoinette is one of the condemned and executed prisons before Evariste and some overthrown generals, emigrants, and culprits. His duty is to cast out the enemies of France by putting them to death through beheading. This is also a love story, Evariste is head over heels Elodie, the daughter of a rich business owner of prints and engravings, who also stipulates illegal documents for the revolution. She is also attracted to her dreary lover, even if what he does scares her.

He beheads a noble man believing him to be Elodie

Synopsis
