About This Item

New York: Simon and Schuster, (1973). Third printing, this copy inscribed & signed in ink by Arnold Palmer at the second blank page. Octavo (9.25" x 6.25"), 252 pages, illustrated. Publisher's white cloth lettered in black on the spine, in pictorial dust jacket.

Previous owner's small name & address label at the front pastedown, unobtrusive brief stain at the front edge of the text block, otherwise near fine in dust jacket light edge wear, a small stain at the top of the front fold, & creasing at the flaps, still about very good.

Arnold Palmer (1929 - 2016) was the winner of 29 PGA Tour events including 7 major championships. As noted by Jack Nicklaus, "Arnold transcended the game of golf. He was more than a golfer or even great golfer. He was an icon. He was a legend. Arnold was someone who was a pioneer in his sport. He took the game from one level to a higher level, virtually by himself."
