First edition hardback in original dust jacket , dated 1933 bottom title page , Book has no inscriptions , no marks to boards , no spine lean , no tears and no creases to pages , corners are sharp minor wear, spine tips are pushed , usual page toning with age , top edge looks like it may have been green but now faded , in original jacket that is not faded , not price-clipped showing 7/6d net on flap , spine tips and corners rubbed and chipped , loss of top inch of spine and several chips missing bottom spine tip , edges and corners , couple of small closed nicks reinforced on verso , toned with age , a scarce crime fiction title in original jacket , not a remainder , not an ex-library copy.
