Illustrator: Photographic. 720 g.; XII, 132 pages, last page blank, foreword by Ian Johnston, introduction by Donald Cordner, President, Melbourne Cricket Club, acknowledgements, author's note, bibliography and index. Bottle green coloured endpapers. The text is illustrated with numerous black-and-white and the occasional colour photograph, illustrations and cartoons -- of items held in the Melbourne Cricket Club collection. Green coloured boards with gilt titles to the backstrip. Rubbing and creasing to the backstrip corners and book corners. Light white marks to the book panels and rubbing to the book edges. Light age toning of the text block edges. There is a printing fault to the front paste-down -- there is a 'crease' that runs from the top left-hand corner down to the middle of the lower book edge. Colour illustrated dustwrapper, being the reproduction of the W. Handcock painting of 'T.W. Wills', done in 1870, against a green background with gold titles to the front panel and backstrip. Rubbing and creasing to the dustwrapper edges and there is rubbing to the dustwrapper panels. Fading to the backstrip. Some of the treasures that are held at the Melbourne Cricket Club.
