About This Item
London and Glasgow: Collins, 1963. First Edition. Hard Cover. Fine/Very Good. Near fine - a really neat, bright copy. Octavo in publisher's original light grey boards with maroon title and credits to spine, 190 pages. Four line illustrations by Prudence Seward. Dustjacket has a *tiny* crease to back panel, an inch closed tear to front fold-in, a tiny closed tear at spine. On holiday among the Cairngorm Mountains, Don and Ian are befriended by a stray collie dog who helps them out of a tight spot. They're horrified when local farmers plan to hunt her down as a sheep-killer. A highly engaging and skilfully told story. It's hard to imagine there's a better copy available.
