First edition, first impression (Herbert Jenkins, 1922). Advertisements at rear, occasional light spotting throughout, front hinge tender and cracked, small presentation inscription to front paste-down, original orange pictorial cloth, spine faded with closed tears at ends, edges rubbed. Later issue 5'- dust jacket by William Heath Robinson (circa 1940). Tear along front flap and several tears to front panel, small chips and tears to edges.
