ALL hinges secure and tight. Overall a Very Good tight and bright copy. ; Volume Four only. This volume contains the 'Itinerarium Kambriae et Descriptio Kambriae', (An Itinerary through Wales and A Description of Wales and its Peoples. ). Large 8vo. In a series also known as 'The Rolls Series'. In contemporary quarter brown (? Pseudo) Morocco with gilt titling, over black paper-covered boards. No Dustjacket. The paper edges of the boards are pretty rubbed and chafed with the board showing through at the corners, some general marking and a couple of edge indents, but overall the covers are Good Plus to Very Good. Internally the plain endpapers are very browned, a small stamp stating 'Department of History' is at the foot of the front free endpaper, the page fore-edges are slightly toned, but the full text block is Very Clean, Tight and Bright. (lxxi) + (3) + 286pp with 2 Glosseries and a large Index. In the original Latin with English footnotes throughout. A general Introduction about the series precedes the 2 Title pages, then a 71 page, 2 part Preface in English follows : - Part 1: Manuscripts; and Part 2: History, Value, etc, of these Welsh Treatises; and a Collation of the pages of Camden and Wharton with those of the Present Edition. The follows the Itinerarium Kambriae - Liber I and II; and Descriptio Kambriae - Liber I and II. Glossery I of Unusual words, and Glossery II of Names of Persons and Places. Index. Probably the most sought after volume in the 8 volumes in this series. ALL hinges secure and tight. Overall a Very Good tight and bright copy which has now been protected in a clear book plastic cover. ; Rerum Britannicarum Medii Aevi Scriptores or Chronicles and Memorials of Great Britain and Ireland During the Middle Ages. ; 8vo 10" - 11" TALL .
