Story of an orphan boy who is farmed out to work on a horse farm where he discovers he has a way with horses. Author dedicates this novel to her father who was an orphan in Nebraska and farmed out to lead a very hard life. He also had a way to communicate with horses. Author wrote The Season of Ponies..
