Brief biographies of early Renaissance artists Ghiberti and Donatello, along with material on other Italian sculptors of the Pisan and Florentine schools. Nicely illustrated by b&w illustrations. One fold-out plate of The Second Door of the Baptistery, Florence, by Ghiberti. Small prior owner signature to the half-title page, but otherwise unmarked. Sound binding.
