A study of old guidebooks, handbooks and the like published during the thirty years before 1914 shows that they rarely, if ever, mentioned the windmill as a subject worthy of interest, let alone careful study, because it was still commonplace and so it did not occur to the old writers to make any comment."; 32 pages.
