Fine/Near Fine. 240 p. ; 25 cm. 148 illustrations. 48 in color. Hardcover. Publisher's original avocado/grey linen over boards, lettering in black to spine and upper cover. Book Condition: pretty much, and somewhat miraculously, pristine; a lovely copy. Dust Jacket Condition: front flap creased with extreme edge of approx. 2 inch section showing bent laminate, all well clear of any text, and otherwise a very sound, sharp, copy. Includes small biographies of the artists, whose names include: Max Ernst, Lyonell Feininger, George Grosz, Alexi Jawlensky, Wassily Kandinsky, Paul Klee, Emile Nolde, Kurt Schwitters...etc. etc.
