Howard Timmins. Gerard Bhengu, a self-taught Zulu artist from Natal. Tidemarks to the lower edges with some light cockling and soiling to the pages. The title page and following 3 pages are loose as well as from Page 59 to 68. Beautiful and expressive sepia and coloured illustrations. 69 Pages. 1st Edition. Fair. Very poor. Some large open and closed tears and creasing. Long split to the front flyleaf and spine. Tidemarks, some soiling with clear tape re-inforcing on the verso. Linen boards. Tidemark to the lower edge. Slight bend in the boards. Bright red lettering. Some edge-wear to the extremities.
