Signed to FFEP "H. g. with love from Swinny". There is also a separate compliments sheet "headed Old Tokefield Cranleigh, Surrey and hand written : " I know Mr Wells is away. Please don't acknowledge; but put the book on his shelves, so that if he ever complains that he has never had it you can point a finger F.S." then printed: " With compliments from Frank Swinnerton " Also signed on the FEP Annajane Kennard (H G Well's daughter)
