Athens, GA.: University of Georgia Press, 1940. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Good +. STATED FIRST Edition - April 1940. Well used, but still Good + and amazing. No Jacket. FULL Folded Map in Rear Pocket. The map has several margin closed tears/but no paper loss. Previous owner name on blank front free end-paper. Front and rear end-papers have shadows of tape. A few pages with ink or pencil margin notations. There are approx. ten (10) maps/diagrams of different Georgia counties, showing "Points of Interest" in 1939. Illustrated with over 60 black and white photographs, all clean and unmarked. Red cloth is rubbed with dulled spine title. Foot of spine cloth just starting to fray, LAID-IN are three original photographs (matte finish) of the Atlanta Edgewood Cemetery, each 4-1/2" x 3-1/4", DATED 1948 on rear, (in own mylar slip). ALSO, a MINT copy of "FIRST Magazine" (June 2002, Vol. 12), with approx. 25 pages of WPA Guides bibliographic information, in its own mylar slip.
