Measures 6.5" x 9.5". Extensive biography on the scientific discovering of George Washington Carver, written by a woman known for also having ghost written the autobiographies of John Hays Hammond, Margaret Sanger and Dr. Victor Heiser. This was her first book published under her name. From the dust jacket flap: "Born in slavery, he was kidnapped with his mother when he was but an infant, rescued and protected by his owner, a kindly German immigrant, who, within his slender means, made it possible for him to attend school and obtain books." Book also covers his close relations with Edison, Ford, and Wallace. Minor chipping on Top, Bottom and Corners of Priceclipped Dust Jacket. No marks, pages are clean and textblock is tight. Overall, in very good condition.
