Lucian Burlesqued, or the Scoffer Scott. III. The Wonders of the Peake. IV. The Planters Manual. Illustrated with many curios Cuts, all new design’d, and engraved by the best Artists.”. A collection of 4 books in one volume, each with their own title page. Some humorous writing and in the case of the Planters manual, practical advice on the grafting and cultivation of fruit trees. 8vo, half leather with green cloth boards. Gilt titles on spine. Marbled endpapers. Spine and corners rubbed and worn, nibbles at top of spine. 384pp illustrated with 9 engravings (one folding), frontispiece. Inner book in lovely condition, some age spotting, but generally clean. At some point this has been library rebound. Ex reference library with number and name on spine, pictorial bookplate on rear pastedown, blank plate on front pastedown. No other obvious library markings.
