London, Printed for John Nichols, and Sold by Elizabeth Newberry, 1794 1st. Hardback, 8.5 x 5 inches. Half bound calf leather to spine and corners, and marbled paper boards. Gilt lettering, banding and decoration to spine, with red speckled page edges. Brown endpapers. In very good condition. Some wear to cover; Corners bumped and chipped, some rubbing to boards and spine, small chips to top end. Ex Library copy “Newport Public Libraries Reference Department.” with stamps to back sides of plates, corner of title page, and bookplate to endpaper. A couple of occasional minor foxing spots and handling marks, else pages all very clean and tight. Else an excellent clean and tight copy. Begins at page 586 - 1212pp. Illustrated with 19 (ex.22) B&W engraved plates, (Lacks: 689 Aberdeen Cathedral; 801 Dovedale pt1; 1161 Newton Butts Parsonage; & 1183 Ledbury Monument.) A couple of blank pages bound in at 672, 689, 1161.
