New York: G.P. Putnam's Sons, 1937. 1st Edition . Cloth. Good/Fair. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. 496 pp., frontis, footnotes, b/w illus., bib., index. "Including the Conquest of the West by General Stephen Watts Kearny." Preface by Frank Monaghan. Kearny died in 1862 during the Civil War after a notable military career. Bright blue cloth bound hard cover book in good to v.g. cond. has former owner's small ink stamp on the f.f.e.p. & a small bump to the upper right hand corner of the text. The d/w while pretty much all there is price-clipped and shows sl. fraying & wear along the top edge & elsewhere hence fair to good cond. Errata slip tipped-in.
