Pp. xx, 580, (23, index), (19, Ordines Naturales index), (1, errata), (1, Emendanda in Speciebus Plantarum). Original one-quarter dark brown polished leather, spine with 4 raised bands with blind-stamped decorations above and below each raised band, titled in one compartment, over marbled paper-covered wooden boards, spectacled page edges, 8vo. Describes 1,239 genera and contains and contains two the important indexes. The title page is printed in red and black. According to Catalogue of the Works of Linnaeus (1933), compiled by B. H. Soulsby, "some copies of this edition have a portrait of Linnaeus by P. Tanje," the copy offered here does not have the portrait. Soulsby 305. No ownership marks.
