About This Item

G.I. Frazer. Very Good. 1982 signed and inscribed first edition, G.I. Frazer (Enid, Oklahoma), 8 1/2 x 11 inches tall spiral bound (black plastic comb) in gold printed covers, illustrated with black-and-white photographs, index, x, 147 pp. Very slight rubbing and edgewear to covers. Nicely inscribed and signed by the author to a cousin on the blank verso of the front cover. The printing on a few pages is a bit light, and darker prints of two leaves (four pages) with photographs are laid in. Otherwise, a very good copy - clean, bright and unmarked - of this scarce genealogy and family history. OCLC (No. 9971818) locates only a half dozen copies at institutions worldwide. ~SP22~ [1.5P] Looks at the ancestry of, and traces the known descendants of, Nicholas Byram (1610-1688), who was born in Ulster, Ireland and, after being kidnapped by sailors at the age of 16, eventually sailed to America and settled at Weymouth, Massachusetts. In addition to Byram and Irons, surnames which receive the most extensive coverage (among hundreds of others) include: Allen, Armstrong, Bacon, Beckwith, Boe, Bowman, Burling, Carver, Christensen, Clark, Curtis, Davis, Dickerson, Doty, Evans, Fitzjarrald, Frazer, Gallandt, Goodnow, Grove, Hall, Helsel, Henry, Herksee, Hickman, Hinsley, Jeffries, Jerue, Johnston, Joy, Keffer, Kiner, Kuch, Lasswell, Lawrence, Lord, Lyon, McCoy, Mach, Maestas, Martin , Miller, Mitchell, Moore, Musson, Myers, Newsome, O'Dell, O'Neil, Peters, Phillips, Polson, Prentice, Quinn, Saunders, Saxton, Schindler, Schuster, Sheriff, Slade, Smith, Snyder, Stephenson, Tangredi, Thomas, Thompson, Vance, Van Meter, Vitt, Wallace, Warring, Weideman, Williams, Wilson, Withgott, Wood, Woodfill, Woods, Wright, Zortman.
