Macon, Georgia: Southern Press, 1963. First edition. Octavo (9.75" x 6.25"), 6 unnumbered leaves followed by 50 leaves printed recto only, with illustrations from photographs interleaved & a folding chart providing "Ancestry of the Family of Mr. and Mrs. I.C. Plant." Publisher's gilt-lettered pebbled maroon cloth. Laid in are 9 printed sheets providing corrections & additions.
Lightly rubbed, gilt dull, brief wear at corners, otherwise very good.
Allied include Whedon, Barnes, Dickerman, Cooper, Atwater, Peck, & others.
"Chiefly, a record of ancestors of Increase Cook Plant and his wife Elizabeth M. Hazelhurst Plant. Increase was the son of Timothy and Chloe (Dickerman) Plant and was born 27 February 1814 in New Haven, Connecticut. He married first Charlotte Walker on 24 July 1838. Charlotte died on 12 March 1839 in Brunswick, Georgia. Increase married second Elizabeth Mary Hazelhurst (1819-1883) on 2 October 1843. They had four children all born in Macon, Georgia. Increase died on 16 November 1892 and was buried in Macon, Georgia." ~Abstact, Courtesy OCLC.
