Caesar Lucchesai left Italy in 1899 for the copper mines of Michigan's Upper Peninsula and his future wife left Tuscany in 1913 at age 13 for America to help her brother andd his wife in Houghton, Michigan and arrived to see snow on the ground--the first time she had ever experienced snow. This is their story. Contains two pages of references in the rear. This is a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings, no previous owner names and no bookplates.Oringinal brown decorated paper covers with black spine and cover lettering. The covers are in nice condtion with no creases, tears or chips. Uncommon signed copy.; Color & B&W Photographs; 8vo, 8"- 9" tall; 141 pages; Signed by Author .
