Unpaginated, but 24 leaves (= 48 pages); 139 color illustrations, thumbnails and full pages, quite lovely. Pictorial paper over boards, red cloth-backed, covered now in plastic jacket. Colorful though rubbed cardboard, with worn edges and blunt corners. Lightly toned pages, but illustrations are bright and colorful indeed. This appears to be a reprint of this children's album published in 1927 by the great author-illustrator Benjamin Rabier (1864-1939). His protagonist is the infamous duck protagonist Gedeon the duck who went on a trip in a red torpedo with his friends Placide the dog and Bout-de-Zan the monkey. Story told in 139 color images.
