About This Item
Paris: Librairie Garnier Freres, 1928. Hardcover. Very Good. Rabier, Benjamin. Folio. Unpaginated. Tale of goose Gedeon and adventures in Africa. Rabier's color illustrations would seem to prefigure the anthropomorphic charm and acuity of Warner Brothers' Loony Toons. Text is minimal and not critical to enjoyment of the cartoon-like format, with some frames half and even full page, which measures 12.5 by 9.5 inches. Some shelfwear to boards, with moderate soilage and some minor losses to paper on board along edges. Heavy stock paper with toning but clean otherwise. Tight binding. A very good copy overall.
