A GAZETTEER OF ILLINOIS, IN THREE PARTS: Containing a general view of the state, a general view of each county, and a particular description of each town, settlement, stream, prairie, bottom, bluff, etc.; alphabetically arranged. Philadelphia: Grigg & Elliott, 1837. Second edition, "entirely revised, corrected, and enlarged." 16mo. xi,328 pp. Original blindstamped cloth with a printed paper label on upper board. It is sunned at spine and along perimeters; the backstrip is very nearly detached and chipped at the head. Scattered, very light foxing throughout the text leaves. A good reading copy which, because of the binding, is offered as is. (Howes P170, Sabin 59483).
