About This Item
Territet, Pool Editions, 1927. . First edition, sole impression; 8vo; light spotting early and late; publisher's puce wrappers printed in black, a little foxing to the wrappers, backstrip tanned and considerably worn, otherwise a good copy.
One the author's three novels and distinctly uncommon. Printed by Darantiere in Dijon (who had, of course printed the first edition of Ulysses) and issued in presumably quite small numbers by Bryher's publishing company. Macpherson's main claim to fame was as one of the first serious film critics and theorists. From the library of Eric Walter White with his his own inscription to the first blank recording this to have been given to, 'Eric Walter White from H.D. 1932'. White and Macpherson had both been H.D.'s lover which makes this gift peculiar to put it mildly. Scarce.
