Translated from the French by Helen Morgenthau Fox, Forestier (1861-1930), an important early twentieth century French landscape architect, presents his notebook of plans and sketches for walled gardens; backgrounds, accents, tre walls and hedges, terraces and more are addressed. Most of the designs are smaller gardens and are Spanish influenced. Numerous illustrations with-in t text. Some slight discoloration to spine and front board, else a very good co.
