About This Item
Arthur Tysilio Johnson was a gardener in Wales during the early to mid 20th century.
Johnson planted and laid out the grounds at Bulkeley Mill, Wales and was a schoolmaster at St Asaph Grammar School. He collected plants in Europe, California, and Canada. Geranium 'Johnson's Blue' is named in honour of him. The hybrid being first seen at Bulkeley Mill.
This edition heavily foxed to pages and covers particularly to spine which is also shelf tanned and board corners bumped, shelf wear to edges; all pages intact but some separation from spine to a few pages. 19 B&W photographic illustrations (taken by author?). Previous owners inscription in pen.
