Colorgravure Publication, Melbourne, 1952. Reprint. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Good Condition/Good. Illustrator: Photographic. 256 pages, introduction by author, acknowledgements, general index. Illustrated endpapers, being a stylised garden design. Coloured photographic frontispiece, showing " Lake in the Garden of ' Burnham Beeches ', near Sassafras.". The text is illustrated with black-and-white photography and the occasional black and white line drawing. Maroon coloured boards with self embossed illustration of a tree to the lower front panel edge and self embossed title to the top quarter of the front panel. Gilt writing on the spine along with small gilt illustration of a tree. Bumping and rubbing to the head and to the heel of the spine and to the book corners. Shelfwear to the lower book edges and dust marks to the top. The front and back panel had become patchy. Offset tanning and browning to the endpapers. The internal papers have become slightly age toned. Illustrated dust wrapper [ wraparound ), showing a stylised 1950s house and garden, with white and yellow writing on the front panel and white on the spine. Rubbing and slight chipping to the dust wrapper corners and to the head and to the heel of the spine. A little loss to both the top and bottom spine edges. A few small close tears to the top dust wrapper edge. Creasing and rubbing to both the top and bottom edges. Rubbing marks to the dust wrapper panels and there is a small rub mark to the top right-hand corner of the front panel. The spine has become a sun darkened. There is a crease runs the full length of the rear fold over panel. Both the front and back rear fold over panel have become a little yellowed. Inserted loosely into the book are numerous other articles on gardening. A book about gardening for Australian and New Zealand conditions circa 1950. Revised Edition. Size: 4to 9¾" - 12" tall.
