Pp. xvi, 411; 137 full-page sepia toned plates showing anglers and large fish caught. Some of the fishes covered are salmon, grayling, trout, pike, swordfish, tuna, yellowtail, barracuda and rays. There is also coverage of sea fishing in England, Santa Catalina Island swordfish, and the games fishes of Hawaii. This is classic early work on game fishes and fishing around the world. There is a small blind stamp of the Greenwich Library of Greenwich, Connecticut on the title page, there is a number on the verso of the title page and on the preface page and a checkout label has been removed from rear free endpaper; very few signs of use. The volume is offered at a reduced price.
