1840s. Original. Flat. NEAR FINE. . E. Schossig, engraved view 7 1/4 in. x 5 1/8 in., double ruled image on 6 3/4 x 8 3/4 in page. Very detailed and close-up view of many two story buildings facing straigh on with six active boats in the foreground, many people and dock workers. Large flourished type for Galveston centered at bottom margin. A very fine steel engraving.

Similar to Kelsey & Robinson Fig. 3.133 but more details of the Galveston waterfront.
