Catalogue of Practical and Scientific Books published by Henry Carey Baird & Co. on 31 pages following text. Sharples acquired the book in March 1888 and in June 1888 he traded it to Joseph T. Price for a Beach drill chuck. This was probably Joseph Townsend Price (1859-1924), a machinist in West Chester, Pa. With his brother-in-law John Barton Paxton, under the name Paxton, Price and O'Neill, they manufactured machinery for knitting stockings. Price held several patents. In Very Good Condition: cover is slightly rubbed and soiled; spine a little sunned; small spot on title page; light soiling on a few pages, primarily along fore-edges; otherwise, clean and tight.
