Limited to 750 sets, signed by the author on the half-title; octavo; pp. 181; 209; 163 plus colophon; illustrated by Paul Brown, three plates in each volume; decorated red cloth, gilt, top edges gilt; very good, light wear at spine ends, corners bumped. A Roosevelt family copy. Besides the author's signature on the half title this copy is inscribed on a front free fly leaf. "To Mrs. Theodore Roosevelt, with gratitude, love and blessing from her friend, David Gray, Cumberland Foreside, Portland Maine, Xmas, 1931". Also signed by Sarah Alden (Derby) Gannett, President Theodore Roosevelt's daughter, on the front paste-down.
