Allen, London, 1949,. see description. first edition, large thick 8vo, 498pp, title in a decorative red border, frontis of the original Gaiety Theatre and restaurant in the Strand, and 32 other photographs on art paper, original cloth dusty, corners bruised and two bruised marks on the edge of the boards, cloth split about 5cm over bottom of front hinge leading to the hinge weakening, spine ink-scuffed and dull, text pages clean though there is some accidental dog-earing in a small section.
