About This Item
New York: McClure, Phillips & Co., 1902 Red cloth with blindstamped decoration; gilt title and spine. Light rubbing to cover extremities; spine fairly heavily faded; lower 1/2" of front spine edge cloth is split. At some point this book got wet: lower section of rear board is darkened and red cover dye has bled into margins of lower corner of rear endpapers and last several pages of text (margins only). Faint dampstaining to lower half of text pages, diminishing from rear to front, and light puckering to corresponding portion of text block. Prior owner inscription to front endpaper. Text is otherwise clean and bright, and binding is tight.
