Nice condition, vintage copy of "Furniture of the Olden Time" by Frances Clary Morse. 1924; The Macmillan Company; New York. The book is profusely illustrated with 428 photographs of furniture. Illustrated end papers in color. On the title page is an excerpt from Henry David Thoreau's "Autumn." The contents are as follows: Introduction; Chests, Chests of Drawers, Dressing-Tables; Bureaus and Washstands; Bedsteads; Cupboards and Sideboards; Desks; Chairs; Settles, Settees, and Sofas; Tables; Musical Instruments; Fires and Lights; Clocks; Looking-Glasses; Doorways, Mantels, and Stairs; Glossary; Index of Owners of Furniture Illustrated; Index.
Condition:
Clean covers; there are a few tiny stain specks on the spine. Sharp cover corners. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. Nice interior - the pages are clean and nearly appear unread with only a tanned outline of a slip of paper that has been left between pages 348 & 349. There is a name/date (1925) written in pen at the top of the front end paper. Overall the book is in Very Good+ condition.
