About This Item
I.T.A. Experimental Edition. Hard cover. Scott, Foresman and Company (1965) Good. Corner bumps with what appears to be slight water damage on the very last page. Writing in pencil inside front cover explaining the edition and rarity. 160 p. Includes: illustrations, index. Extremely rare Initial Teaching Alphabet experimental edition of the New Basic Readers of Fun with our Friends. This was piloted in a few select schools but was abandoned 1-2 years after it began. The I.T.A. was developed by Sir James Pitman and was intended for use with children with extreme reading disabilities. This is a first and ONLY edition printed in 1965. I can provide many more images.
