London: Simpkin, Marshall, Hamilton & Kent, 1914. VG/Good. First Edition in d/w. No date, (1914). D/w not price clipped ('3/6' printed at bottom of spine). Blue cloth with pictorial paper onlay to front cover. Profusely illustrated with 96 (as called for) full-page reproductions of art engravings. There is a thirty-four page 'Introduction' by Archibald Younger. The dustwrapper is grey and lettered on the spine and front cover with a pictorial paper onlay on the front panel. Light rubbing to head and tail of spine; some light spotting throughout text; light sunning to spine; d/w has small losses to head and tail of spine and corners of the d/w; d/w has chipped tears to front and rear fold flaps; d/w has small loss to top-edge of front panel; else a very good copy, in a good only d/w, of the 1914 first edition. COPIES IN DUSTWRAPPER ARE SCARCE. No inscriptions, underlining or highlighting. D/w now protected in a detachable, non-adhesive, clear sheaf.. First Edition, First Printing. Hard Cover. Very Good/Good.
