On the case of a Puerto Rican activist working for equality in the building trades, convicted of robbery, "framed by the efforts of a personal vendetta by south Bronx police - who knew Otero from his community work - in collaboration with corrupt construction contractors." States that "He must be freed by us, the people who have freed Angela Davis, the Berrigans, and who have kept Carlos Feliciano out of jail. Juan must walk the streets, if we are to turn back the vicious repression which is sweeping this country.
