New Yoirk: W W Norton & Company, 1991. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. Hard cover in very good condition with black boards, light copper colored spine cloth, and copper gilt spine lettering. Stamped black facsimile of signature, assume author's, on front board. Interior text block clean & tight; no writing, no markings noted. Appears unread. Frontispiece black & white illustration of Frederick Douglass; 9 other black & white illustrations throughout text. Also contains two sections, one eight pages, one sixteen pages, of glossy black & white photographs. Dust jacket very good with 1/3"" closed tear at fold on bottom front. Not price clipped; there is no price. Possibly a BCE, no words to indicate BCE, no blind stamp on bottom back board, but no price, no number line. .
