Fred the Angel

Illustrator: Patrick Benson. 200 g; 112 pages, illustrated throughout with black-and-white illustrations, some full-page. Colour illustrated dustwrapper. The dustwrapper has a 1 inch split at the bottom of the rear fold over crease and is lightly rubbed both top and bottom. The spine appears to be slightly cocked, top board over bottom. Fred wants to be an angel, so he's overjoyed when he hears he's past his Angel Exams. He soon discovers, though, that there's a lot more to be an angel than sitting around heaven clam up all day. For a start, there's singing -- which Fred is terrible at. His flying isn't up to much either.
