About This Item
Publisher's original stapled green wrappers, octavo, pp. 42. FAIR-only (we are receptive to the fact that some might insist on POOR) with old tide lines (water markings) throughout and most notably on the rear wrapper at top edge, where there is a slight loss of paper. A frontispiece portrait of Stanton has worked loose from the binding and is simply laid in. Wrappers have begun separating from the text block at crown of spine down towards first staple. Previous owner has printed in ink on the front wrap: "Robert L. Whitehead Fernindina's [sic] First Teacher." Protected from further wear now in a clear new display sleeve with white card-stock backing board.
