The text is illustrated with numerous examples of Frank Hurley's photography, a few coloured, and photographs of the man himself at work. Dark gray coloured boards with white titles to the front panel and backstrip. Photographic dustwrapper, showing Frank Hurley, at work, under the bowels of the ship Endurance in Antarctica in 1915. White, black and olive coloured titles to the front panel and olive and black coloured titles to the backstrip. The biography of the Australian photographer Frank Hurley. He is now most remembered for being photographer of the Mawson and Shackleton expeditions to Antarctica in the early part of the 20th century, but in his day he was a household name. He chronicled two world wars, many of the major events of the 20th century and captured a rapidly disappearing non--Western world.
