Red cloth with gilt outlined panel gilt titled on spine, gilt titles. Very clean and unmarked with just a touch of rubbing on corners; spine sunned. In remarkably good condition. Tight, solid, square volume. Bookplate on paste-down. Interior is clean, no markings, no tears, ligtly toned. Fold-out map of France-1923 after Introduction by John Buchan. Preface by Andre Tardieu. Other maps include: The Empire of Charlemagne and the Partition of Verdun, A.D. 843; France in 1429; in 1610-1715; Central Europe 1815; two of the Western front, 1914-1918. 306 pages. 8vo.
