Very clean and unmarked with light corner/edge wear. Tight and solid sewn binding. Previous owner name of endpapers and printed on lower edge of text block. Interior of book clean, unmarked, no tears. Delightful in-text drawings: The Vintage, The Market, Paris Street Corner, etc. Very nice volume. Authors present in simple and entertaining English the facts about France a cultured person should know. Their wish is to stimulate interest in learning how French people live(d), what their habits are, how they resemble or differ from English speaking countires--in 1936!
