Four Years with General Lee first appeared in 1877. This edition is a reprint that also includes the more important and revealing observations, gleaned from the Official Records and similar sources printed after 1877.
Taylor served as the adjutant-general to Lee. He had a close relationship with Lee and was considered the "expert" to resolve controversies due to his memory that was both cohesive and accurate.
Book Condition: Very Good. Only flaw is some edge wear at bottom and top of spine. Pages are clean and tight.
Dust Jacket Condition: Fair. Slight rubbing, some bumping and soiling. Edge and corrner wear, chips, creases, and small tears. Please see photos.
