Also, where similar discourses took place at different periods, they are placed in juxtaposition as well as in context; but with indications which prevent the narrative from being disturbed."; 7-page table of sections & subjects; 3-page table of chapters & verses; followed by 92 pages of the Four Gospels; inside cover bears the bookplate & seal (in wax) of previous owner - William Priestley (1779-1861) a Halifax wool clothier, musician, antiquary and literary gentleman credited with founding the Halifax Choral Society; wax seal has marked facing end-paper; light wear to corners & spine top.
